Inheriting the buoyancy feature of the Marine Handheld Radio series, the IC-M37 floats to the surface if dropped into the sea, even with the HM-165 speaker attached.

LOUD Button

When you need a “sudden boost” in volume, a simple press of the “LOUD” button will give you the loudest volume instantly. Alternatively, hold down the “LOUD” button to mute the audio output.

Noise-Canceling Microphone

The sub-microphone on the rear panel reverses the phase and cancels out ambient noise around the main microphone. As a result, the IC-M36 Marine Handheld Radio reduces the influence of ambient noise (especially trebly noise) on the transmitted signal and makes it easier to catch voice communications.

Automatic Volume Adjustment

When in an engine room or high-noise environment, the sub-microphone detects ambient noise and the IC-M36 automatically increases the volume to match the surroundings.

Low Power Consumption

Although the IC-M36 marine handheld radio offers a high RF output of 6W and audio output of 700mW, its current-saving circuitry provides a practical operating time of 8 hours with the supplied 980mAh Lithium-Ion battery pack.
